Are you motivated by combining hands-on operational work with leading and developing people? Do you enjoy bringing structure, clarity and modern ways of working into an experienced team, while staying flexible in a fast-changing environment? Then we would like to meet you.

We are looking for a Team Lead Supply Chain Operations who is actively involved in day-to-day operations, while at the same time taking clear responsibility for leadership, task allocation and guiding the team through change and digitalization.

Key responsibilities and behaviors

  • Leading the day-to-day supply chain operations, including customer service, operational purchasing and logistics activities.
  • Actively working alongside the team to ensure orders, deliveries and logistics processes run smoothly.
  • Planning, prioritizing and dividing daily operational tasks within the team.
  • Monitoring workload, progress and performance, and acting as the first point of escalation for operational or customer-related issues.
  • Leading, coaching and developing an experienced and diverse team, helping team members grow in skills and effectiveness.
  • Introducing and embedding digital tools, automation and process improvements in a practical and supportive manner.
  • Coordinating logistics service providers, external partners and internal stakeholders to ensure a cost-efficient, safe and compliant supply chain.
  • Handling escalations and proactively solving operational and service-related problems.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, including digitalization projects, and acting as project manager where needed.
  • Tracking, analyzing and improving KPIs such as OTIF, service level and additional costs.

Key challenges in the coming years

One of the most important challenges of this role is the integration of the Customer Service team and the Operational Purchasing team into one multifunctional Supply Chain Operations team.

You will play a significant role in:

  • Aligning processes, roles, and responsibilities across both teams.
  • Developing the team’s capabilities so members can support both customer-facing activities and operational purchasing.
  • Creating a flexible, future-proof team that can adapt to changing business needs and increasing digitalization.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer service, operational purchasing or logistics.
  • Proven ability to work hands-on within a team while also taking clear responsibility for leadership and daily coordination.
  • Experience in improving processes and introducing new ways of working in established and experienced teams.
  • Strong affinity with digitalization, automation and pragmatic implementation of systems and tools.
  • A structured and resilient mindset, able to perform well in a changing and sometimes unpredictable environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Dutch and English.
  • A collaborative attitude, with the ability to connect people, guide change and build trust.
